Thank you for interest in applying to become an ELITE Scholar at Horry-Georgetown Technical College! TRIO ELITE Scholars is a federally-funded TRIO grant designed to help you be successful in college. Our Academic Coaches are here to be a continual resource along your educational journey at HGTC and assist with transferring to a four-year university if that is your desired path. 

Our program offers a variety of FREE services to support your educational goals, including:

  • Academic and Life Skills Workshops: Participate in sessions that maximize your success in college.
  • College Tours and Academic Enrichment Events: Explore new opportunities and broaden your horizons.
  • Job Search Preparation and Career Exploration: Get ready for your future career with our comprehensive support.
  • Financial Aid Counseling: Help with FAFSA completion, scholarship searches, and finding ways to make college affordable.
